Man, we sure hear a lot about Web 2.0 this and Web 2.0 that.
Web 2.0 is a buzzword that has been around for a couple of years now but appears to still be gaining momentum.
Here are som Web 2.0 fundamental bits of knowlege.
Credit for coining the term is given to executives of O’Reilly Media, apparently while brainstorming a bunch of names for an upcoming technology conference a couple of years ago.
The definition of the term “Web 2.0″, although often used in the Internet industry, is a little vague at best. Certainly, Web 2.0 sites often include interactive resources. Often of a “Social Networking” nature (that’s a whole other topic), they frequently allow users to share opinions, ideas, photos, videos, and Bookmarks etc. As such, this contrasts with more primitive, static information based “Web 1.0″ sites and represents therefore the evolution and progress to the next generation of “Web 2.0″ web sites.
These sites are currently of particular interest to the IM community who has discovered that these sites represent a new way of generating traffic for their own sites.
As well, quite a few Internet Marketing “Guru’s” have cought on to the wave and have begun to publish products teching you how to take advantage of the “Web 2.0″ phenomenon in order to generate huge amounts of traffic for your own Internet markeing efforts.
A few of these products are listed on this site and some of these have also been reviewed.
Among these are Michael Cheney’s “Traffic Videos” and Mike Worthington’s “The Web 2.0 Traffic System”.

Search engine spiders crawl the web 24/7, i.e. all day long. They crawl your website, examining, cataloguing and indexing your webpages and filing the results in gigantic databases.
These databases can be searched by using search engines such as Google and Yahoo! etc.
So what has this got to do with SPAM?
Much the same way as these search engine spiders collect and index the content of your site, email harvesting robots or spiders are traversing the web looking for and grabbing email addresses from webpages. Most often the only reason for doing so is to compile huge SPAM email address lists used to stuff your Inbox full of unwanted SPAM and to be sold to other SPAMMERS.
So what can you do about that?

Since ClickBank released a new feature called Marketplace Feed last April and redesiged their site completely, those of us who used to “scrape” the Clickbank marketplace in order to provide you with a searchable Marketplace alternative have had to find new methods of providing this service or, as most such services have done, sit on it and provide you with ridiculously outdated material, data and links.
NOT SO AT OPPSREVIEW.com!
We have taken the bull by the horn and completely rewritten our search engine to take advantage of the new Marketplace Feed which provides an XML file with a text representation of the marketplace and is updated daily.
Our new ClickBank® MarketPlace search engine is now online and provides you with the most up-to-date Marketplace data available outside of ClickBank. Our search engine downloads the Marketplace Feed every day just shortly after it has been updated by ClickBank and immediately updates our own database.
Additional improvements we have made include:
- improved full text search
- keyword highlighting in results
- new result pager
- and many more…
Check it out and find yourself some good stuff right now….
